The counseling relationship is a deeply personal one and I approach my time with each client with curiosity, respect and compassion. I consider it an honor to come alongside you right where you are. It’s hard being human sometimes and my goal is create a space where you feel safe to explore, process and tell the truth about your story to move toward healing and wholeness.

We will identify goals and objectives for your therapy journey and work together to take steps toward better mental health and healing. I’ve worked with clients experiencing life transitions, relationship struggles, depression/anxiety, and those who just feel stuck in life. There will be practical as well as psychological aspects to the process. I often invite clients to work with me through a three-part framework: Identity, relationships, and purpose. My biggest aim is always to help my clients flourish as human beings.

I recently earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, and I have been in vocational Christian ministry for 20 years. In addition to my counseling training, I am a professional musician, songwriter, and worship leader—a creative outlet that enriches my ability to connect with clients on a deeper, more expressive level. As a wife for 26 years, mom to five amazing (grown) kids, and grandmother to one really cute grandchild, there is quite a bit of life experience that blends into my counseling as well.

Outside the office, exploring beautiful parts of creation is one of my favorite things! Hiking, reading, travel, music, photography, and having good conversations over good food gives me a lot of life. I’ve been married to Matthew for 26 years; he’s also a counselor and musician, and we love hanging out with our kids who are ages 15-25.
